While Hindi films are struggling to attract audiences at the box office, the Marathi film ‘Chandramukhi’ starring Amruta Khanvilkar, which has been seen in Hindi films like ‘Raazi’, ‘Satyamev Jayate’, has been at the box office for more than 50 days.
Talking to Dainik Jagran about this, Amruta says, ‘If an artist proves himself in a day or a night, then things do not end there for him. It has to be twisted and twisted every day, some things have to be left, some have to be tried, then it reaches the hearts of the people. The responsibility of an actor is to settle in the hearts of millions and crores of people. The harder he works for that, the more he gets the result. My Marathi film ‘Chandramukhi’ has been in theaters for more than 50 days, even in such difficult times.
I have seen the response to the film ‘Chandramukhi’. If we give good content to them, they come to see it. The filmmaker and artist have to understand what the audience wants. We are not making films for our home theaters, we are making them for the audience. It is our responsibility to know what they like. A little bit off balance, but all will be well.
